Have you been wondering why everyone around you seems to be doing yoga these days? Maybe you have even checked out a class or two but still don’t really know what you’re doing or why? Come and join me for this two hour deep dive into yoga, covering the philosophy, physical practice, meditation and breath work. The workshop will introduce you to the bigger picture of yoga (hint - it is so much more than making shapes with your body ;), explore what a regular yoga practice can bring to your life and help you set up a solid foundation to build on. During a light-hearted and fun two-hour session in a small group we will unpack the theory and practice of yoga and leave you inspired to integrate it into your life!
The workshop will cover: - The goal and benefits of yoga - The underlying philosophical concepts of yoga - An introduction to the physical postures (asana) in the Vinyasa flow style, with an emphasis on how to practice in a way that is safe while building awareness, strength, flexibility, balance and integration - An introduction to breath work and meditation - A discussion on how you can integrate these practices into your everyday (and probably busy!) life and where to find further material and resources to keep learning
Who should attend? This workshop is open to absolutely everyone! No matter what your age, experience level or flexibility, you are very welcome to attend. Why not bring along a friend and get started on your yoga journey together?
